Susan Brosseau serves as a Chief Financial Officer. She holds her CPA designation and earned a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She began her career with PwC in Hartford Connecticut, ultimately being promoted to Senior Manager. During her 12 years at PwC, Susan served financial services clients as well as a university and other not-for-profit entities. Because Susan desired to focus her career on not-for-profit entities, and to prepare for the unique challenges of these types of organizations, she spent three years at a local CPA firm that served these types of entities. While there she specialized in entities that were funded by contracts with the state of Connecticut.
From 2015 to 2025, Susan served on the finance staff of Adelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services, including more than 6 years as the CFO. During this time, Susan was responsible for all financial aspects of this $50 million entity, including all the financial reporting, budgeting, and contracts. Many new programs were added to Adelbrook during her tenure. Susan worked closely with the CEO and funders and was a leader in the implementation of new technology at this agency. During her time at Adelbrook, Susan served as co-chair of the Business Manager’s meeting for the ID/D division at the Alliance.
For the past 35 years, Susan has been on numerous Boards of Directors and finance committees, including most recently at the Girl Scouts of CT, Inc., Middlesex Habitat for Humanity, Inc., and the Health Collective. Professionally, she is a member of the CT- CPA and TANGO.
Susan joined Financial One in 2025 as CFO at the firm’s Connecticut location. Her prior Big 4 and other public accounting, industry, and board leadership experience make her an asset to the Financial One team. She looks forward to sharing this knowledge and experience with future clients and watching those clients succeed.
Susan lives in Hebron. Her family includes her husband Joe, her three children, Elizabeth, Pat, and Joe, and her two dogs.
